Health Benefits of French Green Clay

French Green Clay is one of nature's strongest antiseptics, it has a strong anti-inflammatory property, it is haemostatic (stops the flow of blood), it speeds up the process of cellular knitting (draws tissue together), it re-mineralises the system, deep cleanses and draws impurities and toxins out of our systems due to its highly absorptive and adsorptive property... and it can do so much more. It is in fact one of nature's most versatile remedies.

Further below is a table of different ailments and how to use clay to promote healing.

French Green Clay has a myriad of health benefits. For centuries people across the globe have been celebrating the effective power of clay when it comes to healing many diverse maladies. The clay can be applied externally with excellent results and taken internally too. The manner in which the clay is used both externally and internally is of great importance. French Green Clay is a potent remedy with highly absorbent properties. Although an extremely safe natural remedy, as with any substance offered to us by mother earth, if used incorrectly or abused, a negative effect can occur. For this reason we have compiled a list of ailments that can be treated with French Green Clay, describing in detail how it should be used. We suggest you follow the guidelines below to avoid any undesirable effect.

Considering the fact that French Green Clay has such a strong absorbent property, when applied to the body for the first time, you may notice that the affected area becomes more red or worse than it did before. Don't be alarmed by this. The clay stimulates blood circulation, which brings blood closer to the surface of the skin – a desirable effect that means the clay is effectively eliminating what it needs to flush from the body or indicating that the process of healing has begun. However, if you think that your body is reacting adversely to the clay, refrain from using it and consult a medical practitioner. There are no known serious side-effects but due to its highly absorptive property there are a few rules that one should adhere to. Please do not take any clay internally or use it externally if:

 • You suffer from high blood pressure, kidney failure, or intestinal occlusions
 • You have chronic constipation
 • You have a very fat diet
 • If you are already using the clay in another form on or in your body eg: a poultice
 • If you are taking any other medications. Do not take clay at the same time. No interactions with prescription drugs or herbal remedies have been reported for French Green Clay as of 2009, however, due to its highly absorptive quality, it may interfere with the absorption of medications.

The mineral composition of the clay creates a specific polarity. This balance between negative and positive charges gives the binding properties of the clay that are known as Absorbent and Adsorbent. The Absorption property applies to liquids and works much like a sponge, explaining the clays ability to absorb liquids and neutralize odours. The clay can also attract molecules and organisms much like a magnet; this being its Adsorbent ability. This in turn explains the clays ability to attract and hold germs (fungi, viruses, bacteria etc), radiations, dead cells, chemicals and many other non-beneficial substances.

French Green Clay also acts as a catalyst allowing the body to heal itself once toxins, bacteria or non-useful elements have been removed from the site you are trying to repair. Unlike allopathic medicine, clay does not mask the problem, it boosts the body to work as it should, unhindered by internal pollution, for the clay removes this problem that would not ordinarily be addressed. For this reason the healing process can sometimes take longer than we are used to when using main-stream remedies. However, one should sincerely continue with the treatment for the results will be astounding and the desirable effects long term.

Using French Green Clay is most enjoyable. The process of preparation, as well as application in itself will make you feel closer to nature and grounded. By simply handling the clay you will feel a pleasurable sense of purpose, finally understanding your own ability to heal yourself naturally. Here below are the healing benefits of French Green Clay with a description of how to use it.

External Use:

Topical Clay treatments with Poultices, Clay packs or Compresses. Go here to learn how to make a Poultice, Clay Pack and Compress.

Please note that with any of these ailments below, if they are very severe and needing the attention of emergency medical care, please do not hesitate in following that route, and do not use the clay instead.

Only treat one specific area at a time. Green Clay is potent and draws on the bodies resources during healing. If there is more than one site that needs to be treated with clay, alternate between the two. This can be labelled as a pin-point treatment. Once one site has been seen to move on to the next.

When preparing French Green Clay for external use always use mineral or filtered water, a small wooden spatula and a glass or ceramic bowl. Using metal spoons or recipients will disrupt the ionic exchange within the clay, rendering it far less effective.

Wounds / Cuts French Green Clay is a strong anti-septic and anti-bacterial, so when applied to a wound it will clean and draw out any impurities that may have entered the site. It is also an effective haemostatic – it can stop bleeding of a wound in a very short time. The next action that occurs is that the clay promotes rapid healing by infusing the wound with essential trace elements that helps cellular rejuvenation – the knitting of tissue. Do not use it on very severe wounds that need the intervention of emergency medical treatment, but on all other types of cuts and grazes immediately begin preparing a suitably sized poultice. Leave the poultice on the would for as long as necessary, but do not allow the clay to dry out. Remove it from the wound whilst still moist. Change the dressing several times if you feel this necessary but remember that once a wound has stopped bleeding and the damaged tissue is knitted together, it must dry out in order to completely heal.
Burns French Green Clay calms the pain of a burn very quickly. Its absorptive quality draws heat out of the burnt area. It acts as a very effective anti-inflammatory, evicts infection from the area by cleaning it of impurities and speeds up the healing process by helping the body to rapidly regenerate skin cells. If the clay is applied in good time, it may prevent a blister from forming. Apply a thick poultice to the burnt area as quickly as possible and leave it on for approximately 20 minutes. Change the dressing as often as necessary- repeated every two hours until the symptoms of the burn have subsided considerably is recommended. If the burn has injured the skin into an open wound make sure the gauze layer of your poultice is thick & moist enough(so that it does not stick to the damaged tissue). If correctly applied and in good time, the clay can prevent the formation of scars. Do not allow the clay to dry on the skin for this will aggravate the already damaged tissue. Do not apply the clay in any form if the burn is very severe and in need of emergency medical attention.
Sunburn Due to the highly absorptive quality of French Green Clay, when applied to sun-burnt areas on the body, you will feel great relief, for it draws the pain and sting out of a burn. The clay will also help the body regenerate cellular tissue so that the affected area heals faster. Prepare a suitably sized compress, or, if the area of sunburnt skin is too large, simply mix up a paste and spread it over the damaged and inflamed skin. Using cool water to prepare the clay can help relieve the discomfort faster. Do not allow the clay to dry out too much and rinse it off very gently with cool water. Reapply another layer or more if you feel it necessary. Alternatively you can add a quarter of a cup of clay to a cool bath for relief from sunburn. Do not use the clay as a treatment if the sunburn is very severe and in need of emergency medical attention. French Green Clay must not be used on a sunburn that has caused sunstroke. Seek alternate medical attention if this is the case.
Headaches French Green Clay is very effective in reducing a headache. Make a clay pack and apply it to the nape of the neck for twenty minutes and then the forehead for a further twenty minutes. Continue to alternate between the two for as long as needed but do not let the clay dry out. Once near dry throw it away and make another clay pack if still necessary. If the headache persists and becomes unbearable, do not hesitate to seek alternate medical attention.
Ulcers / Abscesses French Green Clay is a highly effective treatment for external ulcers and Abscesses. Its absorptive strength draws affected tissue out of the wound, draining it of impurities. Cover the wound with a thin layer of gauze and then apply a thick poultice – almost like layering a teabag of clay over the ulcer / abscess. The clay will remove any bacterial infection and impurities from the site through absorption. For this reason never reuse the clay. Once the poultice begins to dry, remove it from the affected site and re-apply another if necessary. Do not allow the clay to dry completely. An ulcer and abscess take some time to heal for it has to drain of impurities first and then close. French Green Clay will help speed up the healing process but it will still take time to become completely better. If the wound does not heal in an appropriate amount of time or gets significantly worse please seek alternate medical attention.
Muscle Injuries / Sprains French Green Clay is very effective in reducing the aching pain of over-tired, over-worked and strained muscles. It also helps a muscle injury like a sprain. The absorptive strength of the clay draws the lactic acid out of the muscle and helps the muscle to relax. It then aids regeneration on a cellular level to heal the affected area. Make a clay compress and cover the affected area. Do not allow the clay to dry out completely. Once you feel it beginning to dry out and crack remove it and rinse the residue off the area with cool water. Reapply another compress if you feel it could be beneficial (as often as you wish), but do not ever reuse the same clay. The clay absorbs unwanted substances from the body, and you do not want to reintroduce them into your system again. If the muscle injury does not show signs of improving refrain from using the clay further and seek alternate medical attention.
Skin Conditions (Pimples, acne, eczema, rashes etc) Due to the fact that French Green Clay has such absorptive strength it draws toxins and impurities out of the skin. It is a miraculous product for oily problem skin because it has a purifying, deep cleansing and drying action. Used in a facial mask the clay penetrates the pores, removing toxins, impurities and excess oils and serums out of the cells. This clay is not recommended to be used as a facial mask on people who have dry to normal skins because of its drying and toxin draining strength.

When used to help eczema, apply it to the area using a poultice. Leave the poultice on the affected area for at least an hour but do not allow the clay to dry completely. Remove it before it is dry and do not rehydrate or reuse the clay again. Repeat this action twice daily or daily. The eczema will look worse before it gets better at first. It will appear redder. Do not be alarmed, the clay is stimulating the blood vessels below the surface of the skin, which speeds up the healing process. However if after several applications you do not see a marked difference and it gets worse, seek alternate medical attention.

Rashes can be soothed very effectively with French Green Clay. Depending on the size of the affected area either apply a poultice or a compress. The absorptive strength of the clay will draw out any harmful poisons or toxins. If the rash does not appear to be getting progressively better after several applications of clay, seek medical advice.
Bacterial Infections If you have a severe bacterial infection on your body apply a suitably sized poultice to the area. French Green Clay has an anti-bacterial quality and is highly absorptive. The absorptive strength of the clay will clean the infected area by draining it of impurities. Make sure the poultice you use is at least 2-3cm's thick and do not allow the clay to dry on damaged tissue. Remove it before it is dry and reapply a new one as often as you feel necessary. Do not reuse clay that has already been used to treat an ailment. If the infection persists and does not heal effectively, refrain from further use of the clay and seek alternate medical attention.
Eye Strain If you are suffering from tired or sore eyes from straining them, you can use clay effectively to sooth the discomfort. Prepare an eye patch or two with layers of gauze containing the clay – almost like a teabag of clay. Place them over your closed eyes for between 20 to 60 minutes. If you have any eye conditions that should be addressed by an eye specialist, please do not use the clay.
Bruises French Green Clay stimulates the circulation of blood below the surface of the skin and its ionic exchange allows the body to absorb the right amount of trace elements that promote more rapid healing. If applied fast enough the clay may prevent any swelling on the bruised site. Make a clay pack or poultice to the size of the bruise extending no more than about one inch further out than the edge of the bruise itself. Change the dressing as needed. If the bruising persists abnormally please refrain from further use of clay packs and seek alternate medical advice.
Mouth Sores / Infections Mouth sores generally heal very fast, but one can speed up the healing process even further by applying clay to the affected area. Make a thick paste of clay or simply put some dry clay powder onto the affected area in the mouth. Try to place it as accurately as possible on the sore and keep it there for about ten to fifteen minutes. Do not swallow the clay and rinse it out of your mouth with warm water. Repeat this treatment frequently until the inflammation goes away. If the mouth infection persists after an appropriate amount of time given to the treatment using clay, refrain from further use for a time and seek alternate medical attention.
Fever French Green Clay can effectively reduce a fever. If you are suffering from a fever that is not too elevated or has not yet reached a dangerously high point where emergency medical intervention is needed, you can make a clay poultice and apply it to the back of the neck. It will absorb the heat, so make sure you replace the poultice with a new one as often as necessary. Do not re-hydrate and re-use a poultice.
Insect Bites / Stings French Green Clay has the ability to draw poison out of the body. For this reason and the fact that it has such strong healing powers and is great at soothing feverish areas on the skin due irritation and inflammation, it is great to use on localised insect bites and stings. Remove the irritant from the site (i.e. the actual sting) and as rapidly as possible apply a poultice or thick clay pack to the affected area. Do not let the clay dry and repeat the procedure until the inflamed area is reduced. Using cold mineral water when preparing the clay can help reduce the sensation of inflammation faster. Do not re-use or re-hydrate the poultice. If you fear that an allergic reaction is coming on from being stung; for example in the case of a bee sting, do not hesitate to seek emergency medical attention, but as soon as possible thereafter begin the clay treatment until the effect of the sting has disappeared.
Sore tooth A poultice of French Green Clay applied to the face or jaw area directly near a sore tooth can greatly alleviate discomfort and promote healing, but it will not prevent a trip to the dentist if you have a rotten tooth! You can use a poultice in this manner on the face to alleviate pain but you must visit the dentist. Once you have seen and received treatment from your dentist you can use a poultice to speed up the absorption of the anaesthetic that might have been used. If a tooth was removed from your mouth you can put a small poultice directly on the hole to help remove any existing impurities or put the clay powder directly on the site. It will help drain impurities and speed up healing. Leave the clay in the mouth for about ten to fifteen minutes, but do not swallow the clay. Once the treatment is finished rinse the clay out of your mouth with warm water. Repeat this as often as necessary until the inflammation and pain has subsided.
Splinters Due to the absorptive power of French Green Clay, it is able to literally pull a deeply embedded splinter out of the body. Our bodies will naturally reject a foreign object and the clay will speed up this process by pulling it out. Apply a small poultice on the skin where the splinter has entered the body. Leave it there for about one hour to two hours, or over-night. Reapply another if necessary and repeat this until the splinter is close enough to the surface of the skin and can be easily removed without having to dig into the skin with needles and other similar equipment.
Bone Injuries French Green Clay has a strong tissue knitting property. Do not apply a poultice or compress onto a broken bone instead of a correct splint or cast, but once the cast has been removed, you can continue the healing process of the damaged bone by using clay. Make a compress or poultice depending on the injury site, apply and leave for about an hour or two or over-night. Do not re-use the clay and do not allow the clay to dry out. Re-apply another as often as necessary.
Skin rejuvenation & Deep cleansing - Facial Mask French Green Clay is commonly used as a facial mask, but should not be used if you have dry skin. This particular clay is highly recommended for people who suffer from oily skins. Its absorbent properties help remove and drain impurities and superficial effects of pollution from the skin. This effect also drains the skin of excess oils and cleanses deeply, leaving your skin toned and bright. Mix a few teaspoons of the clay (using a small wooden spatula) with mineral water and stir it into a smooth paste. Apply an even layer over your face, neck and upper chest. Leave on for approximately ten minutes. Do not allow the clay to dry. Rinse off with warm water and re-hydrate your skin with your preferred moisturiser. Do not use this clay as a facial mask more than once a week due to its drying effect.
Arthritis Due to the anti-inflammatory properties of French Green Clay, it is commonly celebrated in relieving the pain and discomfort associated with Arthritis. Mix the clay, using a small wooden spoon, into a smooth paste. Apply a thick layer of about 1-2 cm's directly to the affected joints and cover with gauze strips and a loose bandage or cotton cloth. A cooling effect may be felt at first, which is rather pleasant. Do not let the clay dry and throw it away after use. Leave the treatment on the affected area for approximately 30 minutes to one hour, then remove the cloth and gently rinse the clay off the skin with warm water. Once the clay feels as if it is pulling away from the skin it is about ready to remove. This treatment can be repeated up to 3 times a day for a period of 1 to 2 months. If any irritation occurs refrain from using the clay.
Allergies (Skin reactions) Whether an allergy to food, pollen, chemicals or any other substance, clay treatment has proven highly effective. Using an appropriate amount of French Green Clay and mineral or filtered water - make a smooth paste. Apply a thick layer of clay paste to the affected area. Once the clay starts drying slightly, pulling away from the skin, remove it and re-apply another. Do not reuse the same clay. Reapply 2 to 4 times a day until the reaction has subsided. Please note that due to the clays absorptive quality, it stimulates the blood just below the surface if the skin, which may make the affected area look more red at first before it begins to subside. This action is good because it aids a more rapid elimination and flushing of toxins, which promotes more rapid healing. However, if the reaction does not subside within a reasonable amount of time, and appears to be getting progressively worse instead of better, seek alternate medical treatment.
Cellulite Prepare a clay paste with warm mineral or filtered water. Spread a thick layer on the affected areas using your hands or a wooden spatula. Wrap the clay covered affected area in a cotton cloth or bandage and leave it on for about 2 hours, but do not allow the clay to dry out. Remove the used clay from the skin with a wooden spatula and rinse the residue off with cool water in the shower. At this point it is a good idea to brush your skin with a loofah. Repeat this 2 to 3 times a week for about 4 weeks, and then again about 3 times a month as prevention. Remember that cellulite is an inflammation of cells that store fat (adipocytes) caused by toxins that the body is unable to eliminate without assistance. Therefore changing your diet and cleansing your liver is a good maintenance plan against cellulite.

Recommended Temperature of Clay for External Use:

The temperature of the clay can be altered to make the healing process more effective and more comfortable. This is dependent on several factors including your personal tolerance.

Here is a guide-line to help you figure out at what temperature to make the clay, but the only way to really know if you have the right temperature is by gauging your own reaction or the reaction of the person you are treating.

Cold Clay: Use cold mineral water to prepare cold clay. This is usually needed and used on inflamed, red and hot areas. The cool temperature helps further reduce inflammation.

Warm Clay: Never use warm water directly when mixing your clay into a paste. Prepare the clay with room temperature water and then slowly warm it by placing it over another ceramic or glass bowl filled with hot water. Do not make the clay too hot or it will burn the skin your are treating. This temperature clay is usually used to repair and re-generate areas and organs that are NOT inflamed, red or hot.

Room temperature Clay: Prepare your clay with room temperature mineral water when you are really unsure of what other temperature is best for the condition you are treating, OR when you are in a rush and don't have time to cool down or warm up your clay. For example in the case of an insect-sting.

Internal Use:

Using uncontaminated green healing clay that comes from a reliable source can be very advantageous for general health. It had been used for centuries by both humans and animals for its unequivocal healing strength.

Clay has a very strong Absorbent and Adsorptive strength and it is full of many beneficial minerals and trace elements, which are absorbed by the body when needed. The clay itself is not absorbed by the body.

In recent years, as the human race began leaning away from allopathic medicine by coming to the understanding that whilst 'fixing' one problem very likely another will occur due to their chemical composition and harmful side-effects, turning to natural products is often far more advantageous to our entire systems in the long run. Nature provides powerful remedies, and whilst they may not be 'quick fixes', they more often than not get to the root of the problem, eliminating underlying complications and eradicate it for good. French Green Clay is one of these miraculous substances that the earth generously offered us.

Please note that taking clay internally as an alternative remedy is done so by personal choice. The guidelines we give below on how clay can be highly beneficial to one's health, it is not to be considered a professional diagnosis, or medical treatment by any means.

Please do not take any clay internally or use it externally if:

 • You suffer from high blood pressure, kidney failure, or intestinal occlusions
 • You have chronic constipation
 • You have a very fat diet
 • If you are already using the clay in another form on or in your body eg: a poultice

If you are taking any other medications do not take clay at the same time. No interactions with prescription drugs or herbal remedies have been reported for French Green Clay as of 2009, however, due to its highly absorptive quality, it may interfere with the absorption of medications.

Thousands of people across the globe have turned their lives around to a place of complete wellbeing using clay as an internal therapy. Once the clay and water are in the stomach it binds excess acid and soothes the stomach lining. When it moves further down the digestive tract it attracts harmful heavy metals, viral or bacterial toxins, or anything harmful with a negative charge, draws it out of the tissue and clears it out of the body. Again, the clay itself is not absorbed by the body. Here below are a few of the ailments and conditions that can be helped through the use of French Green Clay. There are many more that are not listed, but the general rule of thumb is that Green Clay cleans up the system, optimising it into a state where it can repair. For this reason an ordinary detox regime is usually sufficient. Never exceed the recommended amount, except in the case of emergency if you feel that it will be beneficial. Too much clay ingested internally can cause constipation. Although it is used very successfully by many people in emergency situations, do not hesitate to receive alternate emergency medical attention if you deem it necessary. French Green Clay does not replace prescription medication and clay therapy does not replace professional medical diagnosis or treatment.

Advise: Drink plenty of water. Due to the fact that French Green Clay has such strong elimination strength, we can't place enough emphasis on the fact that you must support the process by drinking plenty mineral or filtered water and rest should be incorporated into the healing regime too.

Caution: Always use a clay that has been clinically studied for their efficiency and safety for internal application. These are: Montmorillonite, green IIllite and Bentonite, however, we at ALIVE cannot vouch for any other clay except the one we offer to you.

Please note that French Green Clay works to eliminate the cause; not mask the problem. Follow the recommendations of drinking correctly prepared French Green Clay first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and half an hour before any other food. Continue this regime for three weeks or until complete cessation of symptoms. Do not use the clay in conjunction with other medications and if the problem persists, seek alternate medical attention.

Infection For both internal and external infections, French Green Clay can help eliminate the cause of the problem by cleaning the body of all unwanted toxins and bacteria.
Diarrhoea French Green Clay sorts out this problem very rapidly.
Anaemia The clay helps the reconstitution of red blood cells.
Endocrine System The clay contributes toward appeasing or stimulating deficient glands.
Disinfection Clay cleans blood. It stops microbial proliferation in the intestines and reconstitutes good microbial flora. It deodorizes and neutralises chlorinated water and eliminates undesirable substances from it.
Ulcers French Green Clay plays a great role against stomach irritations and ulcerations of the digestive tract.
Colds and Throat Infections As a remedy to help fight these infections, French Green Clay works wonders. Even dissolving a very small amount of powder on the tongue can boost the fight.
Detoxification Use the clay to eliminate toxins from your digestive system. The absorptive action of the clay pulls contaminants from the body.
Internal Parasites The clay eliminates internal parasites from the digestive tracts.
Free Radicals On a cellular level French Green Clay helps fight free radicals in the system.
Acidity French Green Clay alkalises the body.
Liver Detoxification of the liver through using French Green Clay is highly successful.
Bacterial Food Poisoning The Adsorptive and Absorptive strength of French Green Clay literally absorbs the poison, locks it in itself and eliminates it from the body.
Bad Breath or Halitosis The Adsorptive and Absorptive strength of French Green Clay makes it a very strong deodorizer, even of the stomach. It will absorb the toxins in the stomach and / or the mouth that lead to bad breath.
Immune System Support Clay used internally stimulates the body's elimination system and supports organ function.
IBS and other stomach ailments French Green Clay helps the body rebalance the digestive tract by removing all heavy metals, toxins and other harmful elements and it also neutralises the stomach juices, alkalising the acid.
Candida The build-up of yeast in the stomach or Candida can cause many uncomfortable physical problems. French Green Clay eliminates and restores balance within the digestive tract.
Acid Reflux French Green Clay immediately removes acid from your system and alkalises it. (Try an experiment with a water sample from your chlorinated swimming pool to see how effective this is.) On wake up, on an empty stomach, drink a glass of clay milk. Do not use a glass of green clay as an acid suppressant after a meal!
Osteoporosis French Green Clay is full of beneficial trace elements and minerals. It is also very high in calcium and magnesium.

How to make Clay Water and Clay Milk – as a detoxification

Clay Milk and Clay Water must always be made in a glass or ceramic container and stirred with a wooden spoon. Never use a metal container for it will disrupt the ionic exchange of the clay and render it in-effective. Plastic is not at all optimal either.

Clay Milk:
Pour 1 to 2 teaspoons of superior quality powdered French Green Clay into a big glass of natural mineral or spring water. Cover the glass and allow it to stand over night so that the clay can liberate all its beneficial elements. Then first thing in the morning, stir it up with a wooden spoon (do not use a metal spoon) and drink it immediately. Clay milk should only be drunk once the body has become accustomed to the clay. One should start with Clay Water and slowly, after about a week, begin drinking the clay with the water as a milk. We do not recommend it for children under 12 years old as a detox regime. Remember to always drink the clay first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. It is also a good idea to wait at least half an hour before eating or drinking anything else.

Clay Water:
Clay water should be drunk to start a green clay detox program so that your body can get used to the healing action of the green clay. For the first day or two pour ½ a teaspoon of French Green Clay into a large glass of mineral or spring water. Stir it with a wooden spoon and then cover the glass. Leave it over-night. First thing in the morning before eating or drinking anything else, drink the water. You will see that the clay has sunk to the bottom of the glass. Do not drink the clay. On day three you can repeat the process with ¾ of a teaspoon. On day four or five you can do the same with an entire teaspoon of French Green Clay. After about a week you can begin stirring the clay into the water, turning it into Clay Milk, and begin drinking the clay too. Do this little by little too. Perhaps reducing the amount of clay in the glass again, knowing that in the morning you will be turning it into Clay Milk. After about 10 days you should be drinking one to two teaspoons of Clay Milk.

Remember to always drink the clay first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. It is also a good idea to wait at least half an hour before eating or drinking anything else.

Continue the French Green Clay detox program for a maximum of three weeks. If you feel any adverse effects, refrain from drinking the clay for a time, until you have pinpointed the problem.

Clay Water or Clay Milk as an Application:

Depending on how frequently you use green clay as an internal therapy, will determine how you choose to use it internally for different ailments. Do not leap into drinking a strong Clay Milk unless your body is accustomed to this sort of alternate therapy. Always use mineral or spring water with your Green Clay and never use any other clay that has not been recognised as a safe treatment. The most common clays that have been clinically tested for efficiency and safety for internal use are Green Montmorillonite and Green Illite, even though some civilisations are using other colours with success – we at ALIVE do not recommend it.

Other Uses:

French Green Clay can be used for other things too. Due to the fact that it is so highly absorbent, it has been used around the home, in factories and in many other places. Here below is an example or two.

Deodorising foot treatments:

Make a paste using mineral or spring water. Add a drop or two of tea tree oil into the mix if you want to, and then apply it to the feet. Cover the feet loosely with plastic wrap and sit still of 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse off with cool water and apply a foot cream of your preference.

Deodorising smelly areas in your home

French Green Clay is able to absorb an unpleasant odour from a specific area – for example in your refrigerator. Place a few teaspoons of clay into a small ceramic or glass bowl and place the bowl into the refrigerator or near the smelly site. The clay will slowly absorb the bad smell so be sure to throw the clay away after you have used it.
